Today was a celebration for our military--past, present & future. It was the first time that i have been able to honor them without profound loss and sadness because of ed's absence. Instead today i thought about his years in service, our patriotism and love for our country. Sacrifices made by my adopted parents, brother, nephews and many others. As a naturalized citizen of this country i have extreme emotion whenever see men and women in uniform; see a flag waving; hear our national anthem; see a blackhawk helicopter; say our pledge of allegiance; attend worship freely; read a bible publicly; vote; have freedom of speech and many other things that only those in this nation are blessed with.
Do not take this for granted and do not sit back while others change what makes this democracy work. Don't say God bless america--rather say america bless God.
